Van Go Lion - The Ache

I’ve really been all about the electro-pop music lately. Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be over to industrial or power metal or something soon enough. Maybe I can beg quantumpossibility to do some lovestep guest posts…

Right now though, I can’t get enough of this track by Portland’s Van Go Lion. That breathy pad synth that pervades the track; all the sounds used really evoke the ’80s, freshened up by modern production. Amy Paige’s vocals are a perfect match for the music and — I know it’s as cheesy as the music almost gets — the whole thing becomes this sound that just makes me smile.

Muffin - Sunkissed

Australia just seems to be synth Mecca these days; all kinds of great stuff coming from down under. Muffin’s no different, bringing out some impeccable new-wave just in time for summer!
